Workshop within the project "The integrated conservation of non-forest natural habitat on military area in Natura 2000 site" - Błędowska Desert
On February 24 in Wroclaw the 6th workshop for representatives of military institutions and for managers of military areas was held. The workshop was organised within the framework of the project LIFE12 NAT / E / 000031 "The integrated conservation of non-forest natural habitat on military area in Natura 2000 site" – Błędowska Desert co-funded under the LIFE+ financial instrument by the European Union and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
The thematic scope of the workshop included:
- Principles of protection of Natura 2000 sites
- Methods of active protection of military areas in Natura 2000 sites,
- Protection of non-forest sandy habitats,
- Protection of birds in military areas.
The meeting was conducted by Wojciech Mróz (Institute of Nature Conservation PAS, Krakow) and Krzysztof Kus (Foundation for the Support of Ecological Initiatives, coordinator of the project LIFE+ "NATURA Mission".
